About Leanne Shelton
Hi! I’m Leanne Shelton – best-selling author of AI-Human Fusion (Major Street Publishing), CEO of HumanEdge AI Training, and the AI coach nearly 1,000 leaders across Australia, Malaysia, India, and China trust to cut through the hype.
With 20+ years in professional writing, 15+ years in marketing strategy, and features in The Wall Street Journal, The Australian, Forbes, ABC News, The CEO Magazine, and more – plus being named a LinkedIn Top Voice in Australia – you might assume my path to becoming an AI coach was carefully planned.
It wasn’t. It was pure survival.
Let me take you back to early 2023 – when my 9-year-old copywriting business had started to struggle. Conversions had already started to decline due to the tough economic climate, but then a shiny, new, and FREE competitor entered the scene: ChatGPT.
My initial reaction was to freak out. How could my agency possibly compete with that? How could I charge for writing services when AI could do it all for free?
I had a choice.
I could dig my head in the sand, rock in the corner, pull my hair out – or I could accept this was my new reality. Accept that everyone’s going to start using AI at some point.
With my acquired skills in writing, marketing, training, professional speaking (and high school drama classes), I figured I had an opportunity to understand this new technology and help business leaders use it properly while maintaining the human touch.
Since then, I’ve spoken to over 1,500 people via conferences, workshops, webinars, and one-on-one sessions about effective AI usage. I’ve travelled to Kuala Lumpur five times to deliver 2-day workshops to marketing professionals and leaders across South East Asia. I look forward to having a further impact on the world.
Outside of work, I’m a running and gym enthusiast, lover of dance, occasional meditator and yogi, engrossed reader of business books and psychological thrillers, dedicated partner, and frazzled mum to two tween daughters.
